This pate has single-handedly changed my supermarket habits. I used to buy all sorts of snackish crap on my weekly supermarket trip. I got this pate from the local bakery with organic freshly baked sourdough bread. This stuff is so freakishly good that I changed my habits completely. Instead of buying 30 bucks of snacks chocolate and chips, I just buy one jar of black garlic pate and the bread. And that just satisfies me immensely for the next couple of days. This pate is just so darn good together with the sourdough bread and some lettuce leaves, that I don't have any yearning for all those snacks at all. And even though I thought it was expensive, I am actually saving heaps of money now by getting this instead of bunch of bags of ultra process stuff. And aside from what I save, it has taught me that quality is worth it. I've made my own pate that taste very good. But it's nowhere near as good as this stuff. Just writing about it I want to go open up a new jar.

I tried this pate in 2019 when attending a conference in Blenheim and have occasionally checked online waiting to order. It was a delicious and smooth as I remember.

I normally love pate, but this is on a whole other level. It is sublime. I am so happy to be able to have supplies of this sent to me. I had even toyed with the possibility that I might have to travel to the Nelson Market, from Christchurch, just so that I can get my fix. A perfectly balanced pate in all respects. Wow. Makes for much contentment. I shared it with a friend, and the result is that I will include some jars for him in my next order. It truly is sublime.

We loooove this pate and it's become my gift of choice to give to my friends. Only problem is that once you open a jar it's so hard to stop eating it..Delicious! And the service is awesome too. Treat yourself today!

I absolutely love this pate. I have purchased it several times, including for my wedding and everyone just loves it. I keep trying other pates but nothing quiet compares to the Rood Food pate 😋

Best pâté ever? Pretty bloody close! We loved this. Super tasty, not toooo funky, with just the right amount of peppery kick. Wolfed down with Dutch Oven sourdough bread from Westport and pickles. Love yer work!
